Study and Gold Cabinet
The lavishly decorated Study dates from the refurbishment undertaken by Archduke Carl in 1822-25. It epitomises the dazzling
splendour of the Habsburg Staterooms. Testifying to the extraordinary richness of the earlier décor of Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschens
time is the "Gold Cabinet" next door to the Study.
Although the room is too small to host events itself, the doors can be opened during a reception or dinner so that guests
can admire the ornate interior.
