The Essl Collection – Photography

While the ground floor at ALBERTINA MODERN is given over to paintings, sculptures, objects, installations, and videos, the lower level is reserved for a special exhibition of works from the Essl Collection’s photographic holdings. Alongside artists such as Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, and Gregory Crewdson, the focus here is above all on representatives of the Becher School including Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff, Thomas Struth, Candida Höfer, and many others.
