Max Ernst Retrospective
Austria’s first retrospective exhibition on the great pictorial inventor Max Ernst was presented by the Albertina. With its selection of 180 paintings, collages, and sculptures as well as representative examples of illustrated books and documents, this exhibition united all of the artist’s creative phases and techniques—thus placing his life and works in both a biographical and a historical context.
