International Women's Day

GUIDED TOURS (IN GERMAN) | WOMEN IN THE ALBERTINA MUSEUM
Saturday, 8 March | 11 a.m. & 3.30 p.m.
Since the founding of the ALBERTINA in 1776, women artists, collectors and experts have played a decisive role in determining and shaping the history and development of the house. Last but not least, our important collection is based on the financial means of Archduchess Marie Christine.
In the course of two guided tours (in German) we will go in search of female positions in the ALBERTINA. Even the founding of the world-famous graphic collection would not have been possible without the strong will of women, even if the official narrative usually reads differently. On our tour of the ALBERTINA, women, their works and their work are thus in the foreground.
