With this presentation, the ALBERTINA Museum becomes the first museum to show a broad-based retrospective centering on Michela Ghisetti. The output of this artist, born in Bergamo, Italy in 1966 and resident in Vienna since 1992, oscillates between the poles of abstraction and figuration.
Michela Ghisetti’s works conjure up a realm in which biographical and emotional as well as philosophical and art-theoretical elements intermingle. The representation of women in present-day society and questions relating to integration and diversity are core themes of her many-faceted oeuvre.
On view in from 17 December 2021 until 20 March 2022.
